Because the contact lines diverge outward toward the bearing axis, the arrangement provides a high degree of moment rigidity, making it exceptional at resisting tilting forces and shaft bending. Double row angular contact ball bearings require significantly less axial space than a two-bearing arrangement, eliminating manual assembly clearance adjustments.
