Stainless Steel Rod Ends (also commonly referred to as Heim joints, rose joints, or spherical rod end bearings) are compact, high-precision articulating link units designed to transmit forces while accommodating angular misalignment and multidirectional pivoting motion. Combining a threaded shank (male or female) with an integrated spherical plain bearing, stainless steel rod ends are specially engineered for severe operating environments exposed to moisture, salt water, aggressive chemicals, or high temperatures where carbon steel alternatives quickly rust or freeze up.

Manufactured using high-purity AISI 304 or 316 stainless steel for the housing and AISI 440C hardened stainless steel (or self-lubricating PTFE/bronze liners) for the inner ball, these components provide exceptional corrosion resistance, non-magnetic properties, and long operational life. They are widely specified across marine steering systems, food processing machinery, pharmaceutical packaging, chemical equipment, motorsport suspensions, aerospace control linkages, and outdoor automation equipment.

High Angular Misalignment Support: The precision-ground spherical ball swivels smoothly within the housing cavity, accommodating structural flex, misalignment, and joint rotation (typically 9° to 23° tilt angle).

High Dynamic & Static Load Rating: Hardened 440C stainless steel balls paired with reinforced housings deliver high tensile yield strength and resistance to fatigue under dynamic impact loading.
