Product Overview

UCPA Series Tapped-Base Pillow Block Bearing Units consist of an insert ball bearing (UC series) installed within a cast iron tapped-base housing (PA series). Unlike standard pillow blocks with through-holes, the UCPA series features threaded blind holes on the bottom of the base, allowing top-down or back-mounting in tight or narrow machinery setups. Designed with a spherical outer outer ring to accommodate initial mounting misalignment, these units deliver high radial load capacity, reliable operational stability, and streamlined maintenance. Manufactured with high-strength cast iron and GCr15 Chrome Steel (or AISI 440C Stainless Steel options), UCPA units are extensively used in conveyors, packaging lines, textile equipment, automated machinery, and food processing lines with constrained mounting space.

Tapped-Base Compact Mounting: Threaded base holes enable direct installation from underneath or behind structural frames, saving valuable side-clearance space in compact machinery.

Self-Aligning Capability: The spherical contact between the insert bearing outer ring and housing bore compensates for static angular alignment errors during assembly.

Secure & Firm Shaft Fastening: Equipped with two grub/set screws positioned 120° apart on the extended inner ring to lock the shaft firmly and prevent slipping under dynamic loads.

Heavy-Duty Sealing & Protection: Dual multi-lip contact seals reinforced with outer steel flingers prevent dust, moisture, and particulate ingress while retaining internal grease.

Convenient Relubrication System: Built-in brass grease nipple and internal lubrication groove allow easy re-greasing to prolong service life in harsh operating environments.
